It’s day eight on the Big Island of Hawaii and we’re heading back to one of our favorite spots of the entire trip — but this time, we’re leveling it up.

We’re returning to Hilton Waikoloa Village and once again using one of our favorite travel hacks: ResortPass — which lets you enjoy luxury resort amenities without booking an overnight stay.

Earlier this week (Day 5), we spent the day in a poolside cabana… but today we’re trying something completely new — a luxury floating cabana in the middle of the Waikoloa saltwater lagoon. Yes, actually floating.

This was our first time ever booking a floating cabana, and it instantly became one of the most unique resort experiences we’ve ever had.

We spent the day:
• Relaxing on our private shaded floating cabana
• Snorkeling in the calm saltwater lagoon
• Taking out our complimentary stand-up paddleboard
• Enjoying lunch at the Lagoon Grill
• Fully recharging after a week of adventures

Set along the sunny Kohala Coast, Hilton Waikoloa Village feels like its own destination. The 62-acre resort is packed with massive pools, waterfalls, waterslides, a white-sand lagoon, and even roaming wildlife. It truly feels like a “paradise within a paradise.”
