1966 Mustang 289 cold start and drive

Update:
Currently the engine is out of the car. During disassembly I discovered one of the connecting rods is from a 302, and therefore about 1/16” too short! A full rebuild is planned, but getting parts during the pandemic is “Hurry up and wait.”
