Christian Light Education LEARNING TO READ - Pros and Cons

One thing I really appreciate about Christian Light Education’s Learning to Read program is how incredibly thorough it is. The spiral review in this program is honestly unmatched — kids are constantly reviewing previous concepts while building new skills, which has made a huge difference for us with long-term retention and confidence.

That said, I also share some honest pros and cons in this video because no curriculum is one-size-fits-all. CLE is very phonics-based, structured, and traditional in approach, so whether that’s a pro or con really depends on your child and your homeschool style. If you’ve been looking for a strong, systematic reading program with lots of built-in review and mastery, this one is absolutely worth looking into.
