New COVID Mandates for Puerto Rico starting Monday, August 16, 2021.
There is NO Curfew
Businesses are open! No capacity limits or limited hours.
Masks are (again) required in any enclosed spaces regardless of vaccination status.
The executive order (OE 2020-037) that requires evidence of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for all passengers arriving on the island remains in force.
All arriving passengers to Puerto Rico age 2 years old and over are required to submit a travel declaration with contact tracing info, and EITHER proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR molecular-based or antigen) or
If you are arriving from the States and you are fully vaccinated, you do not need a COVID test. International passengers still require negative test upon entry.
Serological tests and rapid tests are not currently accepted.
If you are un-vaccinated and do not have negative results when you arrive to PR, you have 48 hours to produce those results or you will be fined $300 per person.
Face masks are mandatory at all Puerto Rico airports.

Starting Monday, August 16, 2021 COVID vaccinations will be required of government contractors, hotel guests and employees and all health facility workers.
Anyone that refuses to produce proof of vaccine or submit a weekly negative COVID test will face up to a $5,000 fine or six months in jail.
This requirement applies to all those working in health facilities, hotels and short-term rentals, and government contractors who meet with officials in person.
Employees or guests of paradors, AirBnBs and any short term rentals are included in these requirements.
Employees in medical field includes Hospitals, Clinical laboratories, Medical offices, Health and therapy centers, Blood banks, Pharmacy, Elderly care centers (day or long-term care) are included in this vaccination or test requirement.
Vaccinations are currently required of all government employees working in their office.
People who do not get vaccinated have to present a negative test for COVID-19 every Monday or a positive test with a medical certificate of recovery. Each agency will be responsible for ensuring compliance with this order.
