An unsuspecting hero emerges when Ronald and his older brother Charlie who has autism, experience the antagonistic trials of moving to a new town.

Freeman Velocity was my thesis film in college. I felt the campaign against bullying was weak and I wanted to make film that teens and tween could relate to.
Autism Awareness - while writing the story for Freeman Velocity I introduced my character, Charlie, as being on the Autism spectrum.
I wasn't 100% sure I was going to go that route with his character, but once I received the feedback for the script, I knew then I needed to. Reviewers wanted Charlie to be great at math or a musical savant.
I didn't want to do that. I wanted a very different approach, an approach less obvious.
I hope you enjoy the film. It's a little "After school special" feeling, but I think it still tells an interesting and heartfelt story.
