After all the ploughing, planting, fertilizing, and careful management, the fields are ready to pay us back… hopefully in something more than broken machinery and empty wallets.

To get the job done, we’ve rented a beasty John Deere harvester that looks ready to eat half the field in a single gulp. Will it handle the job like a pro, or will hiring it turn into another expensive lesson in “farm economics”? Either way, nothing beats that first satisfying unload of grain into the trailer.
