“My Cellphone’s Death” - an Entertainment/Entertaining Speech

An original work/composition of Clark Cuambot, a grade 11 student for his Oral Communication subject. The topic is about his love for his cellphone and addiction to Mobile Legends which almost ruined his relationship with his mother. This also talks about love and respect.

PS: To those who asked for the speech itself, here it is.
Title: My Cellphone’s Death

Oh, it’s my turn. “Come a little closer, I need a hungry wolf.” Okay, people of the Philippines, ladies and gentlemen, good morning. I am here in front of you to deliver my entertainment speech entitled ,”My Cellphone’s Death”. Let the battle begin!
“Once upon a time, a few mistakes ago...” me and my mother were in a big trouble. I was on the table playing ... “Welcome to Mobile Legends! Killing spree!” I’m still playing and my mother got angry with me. You want to know why? That’s because I have no limitations in using my phone. From morning until the middle of the night I’m still playing. I only sleep in 5 hours. I was so cold and exhausted.
On Monday, it was a holiday so there is no class. At 7:00 in the morning I am already playing. My mother commanded me to get firewood but I didn’t listen. I sad: “Wait a minute, mom! I’m still playing. You’re disturbing.” A few minutes later, I was so shocked because my mother was washing dishes... with feelings! I was about to go to sleep because I was tired. Oh my God! My mother got a piece of stick and beat me saying, “My son, you will never get firewood, huh?!” My mother saw my cellphone at the table and she SMASHED IT! “Is this your cellphone, huh?!” Boom! Victory! She smashed it continuously. Boom! Defeat...
My cellphone suffered a crucial damage. A few minutes later, I went to Marnie’s Store to buy food. I was crying and screaming in the street for about ...5 minutes. I went to Lapyahan Beach in San Remigio. I intend to relax my mind and forget everything. I buried my phone in the sand and said “Goodbye my dear cellphone. I’m sorry for everything I have done to you. I love you and I will miss you.”
At exactly 3:00 pm I went to my grandmother’s house bringing Tanduay and Nestea. I want to drink because I want to forget about my cellphone’s death. But I was wrong, it was a big mistake for me. My mother and my grandmother was fighting in front of me and I’m in the middle... “why don’t you just meet me in the middle...” Ny mother shouted, “Mom, he is my son, don’t defend him!” And my grandma replied, “I don’t care!!”
Because of me, my mother and grandmother is fighting.
I realised that I should listen to the advise of my parents because it is important to love and respect your mother. Put away your phone and pay attention to those talking to you. There isn’t an app called RESPECT. Your cellphone have already replaced your camera, flashlight, your gallery and alarm clock but please don’t let it replace your friends and your family.
