Stanley Gray Lecture The Human Exploration of the Deep Ocean Our Next Great Odyssey default
Live-streamed from the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport, UK, on 11 July 2018, Oliver Steeds, Founder of Nekton Deep Ocean Exploration, presents the exciting results from Nekton’s Mission I. Results have just been published that include the discovery of over 100 new species and the confirmation of a new zone in the ocean - the Rariphotic Zone (Rare Light Zone) from 130m to 300m. With an average depth of 4200m, Nekton’s Mission to explore the depths of the ocean to reveal the unknown for the benefit of humanity has only just begun.
