Guangzhou Metro Line 1 is the first urban rail transit line in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The second phase of the project operation (Huangsha Station to Guangzhou East Station) was opened on June 28, 1999, and it was officially put into operation on June 28, 1999 (Xilong Station to Guangzhou East Station). Its logo color is yellow.
Guangzhou Metro Line 1, the line starts from Xilong Station, passes through Tianhe District, Yuexiu District and Liwan District, runs through Zhongshan Road, and ends at Guangzhou East Station, roughly in a southwest-northeast direction.
Guangzhou Metro Line 1 has a total length of 18.497 kilometers, of which the ground section is 2.048 kilometers and the underground section is 16.449 kilometers. A total of 16 stations are set up, except for Xilong Station and Hangkou Station, the rest are underground stations;
In 2020, the average daily passenger flow of Guangzhou Metro Line 1 was 665,400.
