Arrivederci Roma - Johnny Mathis

Johnny, exhibits some of his operatic training, within the song "Arrivederci Roma." Wait until you hear how beautifully he does so, in the middle of this song. As far as I know, this is the only recording where Johnny sang any Italian lyrics. I also love when Johnny sings Spanish songs. I don't understand a word but I don't need to. They are lovely.
I've wanted to upload "Arrivederci Roma" for a long time but I was worried about the very slight LP age sound in the background. I also hesitated because I don't know where you could buy it today. I've tried to buy it again but cannot find it. I try my best to upload music that you can also purchase. Please try looking for an mp3 online and if you find one, I would really appreciate it if you let me know too. I will buy another and others can as well.

Original Album: "The Sweetheart Tree," 1965.

According to Wikipedia: Arivederci Roma was written by Renato Rascel, the original Italian lyrics by Pietro Garinei and Sandro Giovannini, with English lyrics by Carl Sigman. The song was introduced in the "Seven Hills of Rome."

I'd like to thank FreeFoto. com, a public domain and photo sharing website, for several of the photos here. I've tried to get in as many of the sites of Rome as possible, for everyone to enjoy and thanks to FreeFoto and other public domain image areas, I was able to obtain more than I could fit into the video. And, thanks to Johnny Mathis, they all became even more enchanting.
