CRAWL SPACE ENCAPSULATION on A NEW CONSTRUCTION HOME! ☆CRAZY WET☆

I get a lot questions concerning crawl space encapsulation projects, on new construction homes.

And the answer to everyone's question is, "We don't change anything!"

You just have to wait until all of your other building contractors are finished with their projects, before we come in and take care of your wet crawl space.

This brand new home was getting so much standing water inside of it, that I was told it looked like a pond underneath the home! Standing water was all the way to the first row of foundation piers!

We installed a full inside perimeter french drain line, drainage fabric, 4" perforated pipe with filter sock, nearly 16,000 pounds of drainage rock, basin, sump pump, and discharge line to an outside pop-up drain emitter, just to fix the standing water problem.

Once that project was complete, we installed a new 6 mil ground vapor barrier. After our new ground barrier was installed, we performed our signature Tennessee Technicians crawl space encapsulation service, with our 20 mil poly.

This new construction's crawl space measured out just under 2,600 square feet, and therefore, we installed a Santa Fe Advance dehumidifier, as well as one of our Santa Fe Compact crawl space dehumidifier systems.

We finished everything up by installing the floors underneath the home with our r-19 poly-encapsulated insulation.

The homeowners are ecstatic to say the least! And they have a new confidence, and peace of mind, knowing underneath their new home is protected against moisture damage.
