4 Top Reasons For Yamaha Jet Boats, Epi. 22

After almost 2 years of owning a 2017 Yamaha SX190. I keep finding and experiencing the reasons why I knew that Yamaha was the way to go for my needs.

It starts off with the Motor, a compact, fuel injected 4 cyl, 4 stroke, 4-Star (high fuel) efficiency unit pumping out 180 hp. Thats as much as my truck with a V6 by the way.

The motor has been in use in Yamaha's PWC line of WaveRunners for a few years and its a proven winner. Reliable, stout, performance oriented and made for the marine environment.

The second reason is the Pump (aka the drive line and impeller). Another piece of time tested equipment coming from Yamaha's line of WaveRunners. The pump has easy access for repairs, it's easy to add performance pieces (different props and other thrust changing aftermarket products) and it's safe for wading and swimming around in close quarters.

One last thing...the clean out port on the Yamaha is the BEST. Access to the pump from up on the deck is pure genius!

Third is the Layout of the Yamaha. My SX190 is 19' feet long but it feels much bigger and the talk of everyone who comes out is always about the rear deck, the tiered approach that Yamaha created is a total winner.

Last but certainly not least is the strength and resiliency of the hull. I hit the reef out one morning in an unfamiliar and debatable for being properly marked area. I thought I ripped the bottom out of the boat but once we got it back into the water I was able to go underneath and check it out. Only a scraped hull. Thanks to Yamaha for building such a strong hull.
