Hybrid amusement parks | Mark Bailey | TEDxDayton
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Mark’s talk aims to break down the barriers of contemporary amusement parks, bringing roller coasters, rides, and attractions into the urban context as generators of activity, interaction, and excitement.
In 2011, Mark received his BS in Architectural Science from Western Kentucky University, and this past May he received his Master of Architecture degree from Miami University. He is currently working towards receiving his architectural license while working at Levin Porter Associates. As an avid theme-park enthusiast, Mark spent the last 18 months of his Master’s program focusing on changing the way people perceive amusement parks as generators of activity, interaction and excitement.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
