It was in 2012 when Elon Musk announced the concept of Hyperloop, and invited the world to develop an idea that represents a huge engineering challenge. As if it were a contest/competition, teams from all over the world of university students and companies were able to work on making it viable, from the point of view of polishing and the concept and engineering, essential steps to be able to undertake the first tests of validation.

Almost 10 years later, progress has been made, but not enough to have a viable technology. The concept of Hyperloop, as in aviation, seems to take two or three decades to be even minimally mature, due to the challenge it entails and because the funds to achieve it do not seem to be in excess. But at that point, there is a big question, as the Anglo-Saxons would say "the elephant in the room", that nobody seems to want to talk about: Is it technically and economically feasible to create a Hyperloop line on planet earth in the 21st century?

In this video we make an analysis of the technology, its history, its possible development, and the economic costs that, if it wants to become a reality, someone will have to undertake... and also pay. Because, let's not forget, the Hyperloop has to occupy a narrow space between high-speed trains on the conventional network or maglev, and commercial aviation, whose costs are ridiculously low today. Is the hyperloop really viable? And if it is, why the richest man of the world and promoter of it, has not started yet?
