When I introduced two friends and became their third wheel, I was incredibly insecure. Has that ever happened to you? It's the worst. Suddenly they were best friends and I was tagging along, riding in the back seat or feeling like the odd one out. They'd always sit next to each other at the movies and whisper to each other. If we were at a restaurant, they'd sit next to each other and I'd be on the other end. They had inside jokes. I felt left out and sad and dumb for feeling that way.
