This Is Where I Belong (Spoken Poetry)

Welcome,
So this is my piece when I joined the Battle of the brains in Phinma AU in Cabanatuan City. Sadly, I didn't get the crown as a winner, instead I got the first place. It was nerve wrecking that time, because it's my first time to join such competition after my Elementary days, and I was really stress that time cause Im going through something.

Orignally this piece written in Filipino, and it was written by me. But my mentor wants it to be translated in English so I asked my classmate Monique who was very eloquent and skilled in English, and this is the result.

I happened to saw this on my notes and thought that why not I share this to you guys? This poem tells my story, of how I struggle as a student. Everyone sees me as a smart, a role model student but they didn't notice that I was just trying fit in, Im just pretending, trying to please them.

I grow up as an ambitious person, I like imagining myself, like what would I be in the future. Will I be successful? But right now, everything is vague, my vision is unclear. It feels like the dreamer inside is gone, Like Im just trying to survive. But Im trying to motivate myself, Im trying to find a will to dream again, cause I feel like it is the one that keeping me sane-- my dreams.
