Myford Super 7 Turning Projects Part 4 - brass bush & compound slide height reduction.
In this video I reduce the height of the solid tool post mount and the thickness of the top section of the compound slide of the Myford Super 7 lathe. This is so that I can get enough adjustment to set all of my tooling for centre height without running out of travel. I machine around 1mm off the height on the Bridgeport and then surface grind with my little manual Eagle surface grinder to ensure good parallelism and surface finish.
I also turn a brass bush for my friend's strimmer.
