Armnet 2013: An anticipated awards ceremony

There was a lot of commotion at Elite Plaza Business Center yesterday, and the reason was the launch of the fourth international IT conference devoted to "Universal Mobile-ization".
The conference included speeches by famous Armenian and international field experts, including Director of SCOLCOVO Startup Academy Lawrence Right, Professor Gary Fouel, Marketing Director for Orange Armenia Aram Mkrtchyan, Technical Director for Moveo Technologoies Hovhannes Kuloghlyan, Main Operations Director for PicsArt Artavazd Mehrabyan and others.

The speakers touched upon "Financial Hindrances for Startup IT Companies", "Tendencies of Development of Mobile Technologies in the World", "Mobile Games", "Digital Technologies" and more. Field expert Samvel Martirosyan mentioned that this year's specialty is e-trade, which has grown sufficiently.

The conference was followed by the highly anticipated ceremony, which included the sum-up of the results of the Armnet 2013 pan-Armenian website contest and the handing of awards for the top websites of the year. Let us remind that 400 websites, blogs and personal pages were presented in this year's contest.

According to Marketing Director for Orange Armenia Aram Mkrtchyan, like every year, Orange Armenia was also very excited this year. "People are showing more and more interest in the conference and the awards ceremony, and the events are being organized more and more professionally. We impatiently wait for the awards ceremony to see what new and interesting websites there are."

Everyone was content with the results. Some weren't expecting to receive an award, while many said it was a pleasant surprise. Representative of 360yerevan.com, which won two awards during the evening, said the company's situation is "terrible". "Words can't describe what I feel. I'm very happy to see our work appreciated. This will serve as more impetus to work harder and offer innovations to the people," Vahagn added.

And so, the fourth Armnet drew to an end, but it will be back next year more improved and with new surprises.
