Kwikset SmartKey Troubleshooting: 3 Simple Steps to Fix Misprogrammed SmartKey Cylinder

Need help finding the position your key was in during rekeying? If your cylinder will not rotate with the key used to re-key, your cylinder has become misprogrammed.

A common reason for this is that the key was not fully inserted during the re-key process. Another common issue is that the key was accidentally pulled while rotating to the home position.

1) Prepare Door 1:03-1:30
2) Insert Key 1:32-4:19
3) Find Learned Position 4:20
