The Tonpress catalog consisted of licensed foreign albums and singles (often with modified designs), as well as Polish records, including non-musical audiobooks for children.

Tonpress was deactivated in 1990 when the Polish democratic government decided to shut down many state-controlled publishing houses and agencies.
