Steven Oiestad - Painting the American Cowboy and Scenes of the West

Who doesn't love paintings of our American cowboy? Steve Oiestad specializes in portraying this iconic figure and other scenes of the American West in soft pastel. Born and raised on a ranch near Big Timber, Montana, Oiestad spent his childhood years studying and sketching the animals in his environment. His achievements include shows at the C.M.Russell Museum, the Montana Governor's mansion, the Dana Gallery, and Hodges fine art.
Oiestad was chosen to be "artist in residence" at Glacier National Park in 2003 and was chosen three times for "National Pastel Top 100" in the nation. Lean'n Tree Cards Inc.regularly publishes his work and his artwork graces the covers of many books and magazines.
