Starting a Gypsy Vanner Under Saddle Day 1 | Colt Starting with Colton Woods Horsemanship

Day #1 with 'Kit' a 3yo Gypsy Vanner as we start the process of getting her started under saddle.

The First Week Series
This unique series will highlight a variety of breeds, ages as well as types/styles of horses as they come to Colton Woods Horsemanship to be started under saddle. Every horse's first week is different as our focus is to work from where the horse is at each day helping them gain the foundational skills and knowledge they will need to live a successful life. To us a successful life is one where a horse never ends up in a situation where their life may be in jeopardy but rather they are cared for in all ways, are desired by those who know them and are able to do a job whether that be as a performance horse, trail horse, companion, etc. Whatever keeps them in a safe, caring, environment is our most basic focus. From there we cater to the goals of the owner as well as the capabilities of the horse. You'll have the chance to witness us working with horses ranging from FEI Dressage and Jumping Prospects to future trail horses, reiners, ranch horses, adult amateur hunter jumpers and many more.
