Valery Saparov - Twenty​-​four Jazz Preludes No. 7 - 12

Ok these ones got me sweating. Significant increase in difficulty, but still doable for me. Also I tend to fix a certain tempo in my head which sometimes contradicts the written tempo (almost always it would be too fast). Then it is fairly difficult for me to keep the written tempo for some reason. So I apologize for accelerandi and such. The pieces feature different styles of the 20th century, like Blues, Foxtrot, Ragtime and so on.

Valery Saparov (Mary, 1947-) is a turkmenian composer and pianist. From 1961 Saparov received music lessons at music schools in Ashgabat and Tashkent . He studied at the M. Ashrafi Tashkent State Conservatory in Tashkent and obtained his diploma for piano in 1973 with YA Kenzer and in 1983 for composition at TU Kurbanov. In 1984, he joined the composers' federation of the Soviet Union .

In 1990 he was a laureate at the composers competition during the Coup de Vents in Le Havre . Today he is a professor at the M.Ashrafi Tashkent State Conservatory in Tashkent in the field of orchestral conducting , jazz, improvisation and piano.

As a composer, he is also inspired by Western composers such as George Gershwin and Andrew Lloyd Webber . For example, in 1984 the Rock oratorio «Голоса веков» ("Voices of the century") was created with a libretto by Раима Фархади (Raima Farhadi).
