DeWalt job-site Table Saw Depth of Cut Control
How I solved the depth-of-cut problem on my DeWalt DWE-7485 job-site table saw. I made a 3D plastic clamp that grabs the underside shaft. NB: Two (2) self-tapping machine screws hold the clamp in place; they screw, using LockTite, into the cast aluminum frame of the saw on the underside. Once in place, the clamp stays in place. Reach under and tighten the knob to clamp vertical hold. After making your cut(s), loosen the knob to release. There's one hole in the clamp flange that doesn't get used. As I say in the vid, it all worked first time through, so I never revised to eliminate the unused hole. So that's 2 holes for the self-tapping machine screws, 1 central hole for the knob bolt, and 2 holes for the assembly screws that hold the two halves of the clamp loosely together. It should be clear what's what when you look at the .STL files, available for free download via the QR code at the end of the vid.
