The final reveal of my HK Models 1/32 Avro Lancaster build. This has taken the best part a year to finish. In addition to the basic model kit I used the Air Scale instrument panel for the cockpit and Maketar masks for the squadron code and fuselage roundel. It is painted to represent Lancaster ND911 JN-V of the New Zealand 75 Squadron.

Description: "Raid on Berlin" was recorded during a Royal Air Force (RAF) bombing raid over Berlin, Germany on 4 September 1943.

Royal Air Force (RAF) bombing raid over Berlin recorded in Lancaster F for Freddy of 207 Squadron RAF. The 6 minutes of recording include the crew arriving over Berlin, preparing to bomb, evading searchlights, releasing their bomb load, being attacked by and subsequently downing a German night fighter, and returning safely home.

The Australian War Memorial identifies the crew as:
Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Ken Letford (Pilot)
Warrant Officer H. Connelly (Navigator) (RAAF)
Sergeant C. Stewart (Flight Engineer) (RAF)
Flt Lt W. Bray (Bomb Aimer) (RAF)
Sgt W. Sparks (Wireless Operator) (RAF)
Flying Officer J. Fieldhouse (Mid-Upper Air-Gunner) (RAF)
Sgt. H. Devenish (Rear Air-Gunner) (RAF)

The aircraft was Lancaster ED586 EM-F which was lost on an operation to Stettin on 5-6 January 1944.
