2015 Kia Carnival Mums vs Dads Challenge : Boot Tetris

The 2015 Kia Carnival has arrived. CarAdvice teamed up with Mamamia to battle it out in the Mums vs Dads Challenge. The challenge consists of three parts, fitting a child seat, packing the boot and parking.

In the second instalment, Jo Abi and Alborz Fallah will showcase their boot Tetris skills.

Jo from Mamamia is representing the mums, while CarAdvice’s Alborz Fallah is doing it for the dads.

Shelly Horton is both the host and judge of the challenges.

The car boot challenge.

We have 16 items here and we want our contestants to see just how many they can fit in the boot.

So think camping trip with the kids, think Christmas holidays visiting the family, think round peg square hole.

We need to get as many in as we can, nothing can get broken, especially not the monster.

The second and third row of the Kia Carnival can be folded to give you between 2022 and 4022 litres of cargo space.

But today we’re going to see how much they can fit in the 960 litres you get with all eight seats in place.

Wow, it looks like Jo has done this before. She’s methodical, she’s starting with the big items first and its clear she’s got a plan.

But will it close? No worries at all.

Alborz is off to a slightly slower start; in fact he almost looks stumped.

But he has a plan and it looks like its all coming together, the only problem seems to be the hula-hoops.

The moment of truth arrives, and the electric tailgate shuts without a hitch.

But Jo takes the crown for the boot packing challenge; her efforts just a little more neat and tidy. Stay tuned for the decider, the parking challenge.
