Last Service in Original Church of the Nativity

In advance of the 8th Annual Orthodox Conference, the local public access television station in Erie, Pennsylvania recorded the Divine Liturgy in the Old Rite Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of Christ on Sunday, July 20, 1986. This Liturgy would become the final service ever served in the church, as it was destroyed in a fire two days later, on July 22.

The parish would elect to rebuild on the same site, and the new church was dedicated on the feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God, August 28, 1987.
