President Rodrigo Roa Duterte convenes several Cabinet members to discuss important issues regarding the latest government response on the COVID-19 situation amid the Delta variant and other matters of national concern.

Two days after his 6th and final State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Duterte continues with his weekly Talk to the People on COVID-19 to remind his countrymen on strictly following the minimum public health standards and being vaccinated at the soonest time to contain the further spread of the more contagious Delta variant.

With the confirmed local transmission of the variant, the national government and all local government units (LGUs) are in full alert to enforce stricter health and safety protocols, including expediting the mass vaccination to priority eligible groups and ensuring that all Filipinos, especially in the barangay levels, are adhering to the rules set by the government to stop the virus.
