Saga Bara Recipe in Odia | Red Amaranth leaves or Kosala Saga or Laal Shaak or Chaulai Saag are good source of minerals, vitamins and fiber . Here we will prepare an Odia Food Saga Bara or Shaak Vada using Red Amaranth leaves ( kosala Saga ) .
Ingredients :
1. Red Amaranth Leaves ( Kosala Saga or Lal Saag or Laal Shaak )
2. Raw Rice ( Arua Chaula ) - 2 palmful
3. Dry Red Chilli ( sukha Lanka ) - 2 pcs
4. Cumin seeds ( Jeera ) - 1 tbsp
5. Chopped Onion ( Piaja ) - 1 medium
6. Crushed Garlic ( Rasuna ) 10 - 12 cloves
7. Green Chilli ( Kancha Lanka ) - 1 pc
8. Turmeric powder ( Haladi gunda - 1 pinch )
9. Salt to taste
10. Mustard Oil ( Sorisa tela ) - as required
