Bill Oddie in Armenia

Bill Oddie reflects during his recent visit to Armenia. The song is sung by girls of the choir group of Urtsadzor Palace of Culture, Urtsadzor community:
Ah the gentle flowers bloom in the Homeland
But, alas their aroma attracts foreign breaths
The waves of Van sea dash and sing to sleep
The herrings inside it honor a foreign table.
Chorus:
I’m going up, up, up,
up the Sipan Mountain
Up to see the Van Sea
То let my heart beat with joy.
The breezes of the Sasna Mountains softly move down to Mush valley
In the Mush sky birds fly warmly and quietly
Their sweet warble is heard in mountains and gorges
The mountains and gorges of the Homeland yearn for Armenians.
