Gonzales v Pasarell at Wimbledon 1969 Part One
The then longest match ever played at Wimbledon lasted five hours, 12 minutes. Suspended on Centre Court due to bad light on the first day with Pasarell two sets up, play resumed next day Wednesday 25th June at 2pm. Gonzales wins 22-24 1-6 16-14 6-3 11-9. Here we join it at 4-4 in the final set in colour on BBC2 with Dan Maskell and Mark McCormack
