How to build a wooden garden bench | STIHL

A garden bench can be the easiest way to spruce up any garden. In this DIY project we are showing you how to turn an old tree log into a wooden bench in just a few steps.

Follow these steps for building a wooden garden bench:

What you will need:
- Two posts about 80 cm long
- Straight tree trunk, 2 m long and approx. 30 cm in diameter
- Drill
- 4 screws (approx. 300–350 mm)
- 8 screws (approx. 150 mm)
- 4 flat washers
- Spade
- Hand sander
- Measuring tape
- Pen or chalk
- Wooden wedges
- Sawbuck
- Pickaroon
- Gravel
- Wood glue
- Wooden disc
- Brush
