Tarp Wild Camping in a Storm next to Pen Y Fan | RBLI Tommy Sleep Out

Using a tarp was well out of my comfort zone and it also turned into a very stormy night with strong winds and rain. In the morning we were invaded by cows which was a bit worrying I had one eye on my rucksack and one on them while packing up! The bivvy bag worked a treat at keeping out the storm but the tarp needed repairing in the middle of the night. This spot is one of the most scenic in the Brecon Beacons, Wales.

I cooked up a chipotle steak, rice and veg. Nathan went for the plain gigantic steak and Drufus created a chicken madras.
We washed it down with a nice selection of craft beers.

Most things went wrong but that's how memories are made!
