In this video, Rich first covers how to get immediate pitch correction by using the Pitch Macro. Often in the studio, multiple layers of vocals must be tracked in succession. The Pitch Macro is an excellent tool to quickly and broadly tune an instrument or voice. This makes it very easy to lay down additional vocal takes as the reference tracks will be right on pitch.

When the session is over (or the singer needs a break!) it’s time for a more nuanced approach. Using the Pitch Correction tool, Rich shows how to gently nudge any note, or instantly snap it to exactly the intended pitch. Lastly, he goes into detail about using the Pitch Modulation, and Pitch Drift tools to even out and still maintain the human value of the performance. These tips are excellent for helping to achieve natural sounding pitch correction.
