98 years ago, the world ended; however, there were a select few who managed to survive unscathed. One of those was Barry who was wise enough to reserve his spot in a high-tech fallout shelter. The second the bombs started to drop he and all the other inhabitants were brought to cryostasis chambers to sleep until the surface was safe for them to venture out into. When things started to go wrong was when more and more bombs began to drop on the surface right over the shelter, this caused its systems to go haywire.

Barry would only learn of this when he woke up, in a woman’s body! The bombardment caused the cryostasis chambers to have a critical malfunction, freezing almost everyone inside. Barry only survived because his mind was still intact leading him to be put into Gloria’s body, a woman whose mind was destroyed from the accident but still had a functional body. Despite surviving the ordeal, Barry wasn’t too fond of his new body, leading him to desperately beg the shelter’s computers to help him in any way they could. He would come to regret that choice. Since the computer's solution was to turn on a personality module in Barry’s mind to give him a personality of someone who’d like his new body.

The new personality that took over loved Barry’s new body. She fawned over her lovely new voice and fashion, it was clear to the computers that they just turned Barry into a ditzy blonde. Realizing that this personality could never survive a post-nuclear war world, the systems began deactivating Barry’s personality module. His new personality however wasn’t having any of it, she rushed to the console and began doing anything to try and stop whatever it was doing. She thought it worked, cheering to herself, but it only made things worse. She’d end up passing out as Barry’s mind tried to stabilize. Barry was then informed how he’d now forever have the personality of a ditzy blonde, and while he absolutely hated it, he knew he had to move on. Thus, Barry stepped out of the shelter ready to face whatever the new world had to throw at him.
