Ever had your significant other force you to watch a movie you would never see on your own? I'm here to help, to give you my take so you can decide if you want to actually watch the movie, or just sneak in a nap.

IF I STAY is a 2014 teen romantic drama directed by R. J. Cutler based on the novel by Gayle Forman. Neither one of those fall into the category of my taste in traditional cheesy action films. Okay, to be fair, I never read the book, but I'm guessing it doesn't have 8 pages of color photos of Arnold Schwarzenegger blowing things up. Spoiler Alert: the movie didn't either.
