Noosa Sunshine Reef to River

Snag'd Ep 12.
Noosa Reef to River - it was a great weekend. we managed to catch a Mac-Tuna, Red Emperor, Parrot Fish, Flathead, Estuary Cod, Bream and Live Bait with the cast net.

We trawled using weighted pilchards on a 3 gang hook with a pink skirted squid. It worked well - I would probably trawl for a longer period of time next time I head out.

The Yamaha 30HP did the job, she got a loaded Dinghy out of the bar and back again, although I would say she didn't really enjoy the trawling part haha - had to kick her in the guts a few times to clean her jets!

The Pirtek Fishing Comp was a lot of fun, so many storms around - the barometer must have been going mental. I was lucky enough to catch a 62cm Flathead after the storms had passed. The winner of the comp caught a 83cm Flathead...I was so close!
