In the early 2000s' Nike SB set out to get a foothold in the booming skateboarding industry. Skateboarding was rapidly growing in popularity and it was a land grab. Nike SB not only succeed in doing this, they also ended up creating one of the most collectible sneakers of all time. The Nike Dunk. The Nike Dunk made sneaker culture mainstream and created a foundation for modern day sneaker releases. It's an important part of sneaker history and we decided to make this video to shed some light on the brilliant strategy Nike's used to make it happen.
