Hey everyone! We're Eric Lagerstrom and Paula Findlay! We're professional triathletes. We train for and race triathlon for a living.

This week we really weren't sure if we should put out a video at all. We hardly filmed anything, spent a lot of time reflecting and educating ourselves better on the movement for equality. We both admit we've taken for granted the advantages we have due to the color of our skin, as we really haven't encountered much racism in our lives. We've both had very close friends who were black, and have been apalled at stories of racism. This time has really opened our eyes to just how pervasive prejudice actually is and we are spending a lot of time thinking about how we can be better and what we can do to actually make a difference. One social media post obviously isn't enough.
We know some people may be upset that we put a video out this week, but enough of you encouraged us to still post because of the positivity it brings to Sunday mornings, so we hope it doesn't serve as a distraction, but rather a slight morale boost as you're working through what you can do as well.
