Tom Snyder on The David Letterman Show, September 29, 1980

Dave had guested on Tom Snyder's Tomorrow Show on Monday, September 22, 1980. At the time, Dave's morning show hadn't yet been cancelled. But the following Friday, September 26, NBC officially announced that it was history, its last show to be a month away.

Monday, September 29, was the first morning show since the cancellation was announced, and Dave's first guest (not counting Chuck the Human Weasel) was Tom Snyder. It was towards the end of the two segments when Tom briefly addressed the cancellation.
