Unrelenting monsoon and poor drainage resulted in Most of the city being flooded with water. It caused a lot of damage as people were affected and could not even step out of their homes.
Thousands of commuters were stranded across Mumbai today as most train services were suspended after heavy rain battered the city overnight. All schools have been ordered to close by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the city's civic agency, which has issued an alert, advising people against stepping out.
