Minecraft - All-Achievements Amplified Survival: Episode 12 | Nether Trip Complete

Hello everyone, and welcome to another episode of my single player survival Minecraft series, All-Achievements Amplified Survival!

As the name suggests, the goal of this series is to complete every advancement/achievement in the Minecraft achievements menu. Vanilla Minecraft's achievements are often overlooked by the community; many people, including myself, usually play through a Minecraft world start-to-finish without glancing at the menu once. However, since I've been playing vanilla Minecraft for 12 years now, I tend to run out of ways to challenge myself in-game, and sometimes find it hard to think of ideas for new video series. But I had a strong craving to do a new vanilla Minecraft series, so I sat down and tried to think up a new challenge for myself--something I had never done in Minecraft before. And thus: and all-achievements series was born!

To add to the challenge, I decided I wanted to load our world with AMPLIFIED terrain. This creates landscapes that you would otherwise not see when exploring a Minecraft world, amplifying the overall beauty and awe of your surroundings. On the other hand, it also makes traversing and resource gathering much more difficult. I thought it would be a neat way to ensure our builds in this world would be new and creative, as well as ensure that my survival skills would constantly be put to the test.

There are some quite challenging achievements in Minecraft's achievement menu; among some of these are "Adventuring Time" (find every biome), "Monsters Killed" (kill every monster), "A Balanced Diet" (eat every food item), etc. Additionally, there are 6 HIDDEN achievements that are only for the truly die-hard Minecraft fans. Originally, I did not intend to attempt completing these achievements for the series; however, after I realize that successfully defeating a village raid covers 2 out of 6 of those achievements, I make the decision that we will be going for all of those as well. The most extreme of these is "How Did We Get Here?" which requires you to have EVERY potion effect in vanilla Minecraft applied SIMULTANEOUSLY. Should I be able to do it, this would be the ultimate culmination of the skills, resources, and experiences we gather together in this world--but the question remains, will I really be able to?
