Cindy is playing from her own beautiful arrangement, while Rick works on creating and smoothing out his accompanying part. As always, it took a bit of experimenting, but they finally made it to what they consider an "Acceptable" final version!

"The Haven of Rest" is a beloved gospel hymn written in 1885 by Henry Lake Gilmour, a prominent 19th-century American gospel songwriter and Civil War veteran who spent time at sea in his youth. The music was composed by George D. Moore. Drawing on rich nautical imagery and inspired by scripture like Hebrews 6: 19 ("Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul..."), the hymn offers a beautiful message of finding a safe, peaceful harbor from life's storms in faith.
