Pukekohe Trains 12 August 2022.

We travelled down to Pukekohe for our last opportunity to ride the ADL/ADC DMU's. 12 August 2022 was their last day of service before they are replaced by buses during the electrification of the line between Pukekohe and Papakura.
After returning from Papakura I shot video of the DMU's and these 2 trains.
0:00-1:00 14:47 Hrs. Train 229, Auckland to Wellington express freight. DL9688, 37m long and 759t. Take note of the ES Concrete Sleeper Wagons at the rear of the train.
1:00-3:08 15:27 Hrs. Te Huia passenger train.
