Peter Stumpp: The True & Grotesque Case of the Bedburg Werewolf | Documentary

On 31st October 1589, Peter Stumpp was executed for lycanthropy. Said to have practised black magic from a young age, he was accused of having made a deal with the Devil that enabled him to turn into a werewolf. In such an unnatural wolf form, he would hunt down, attack, and take the lives of men, women and children, engaging in evil and dark paranormal rites in the German town of Bedburg for twenty-five years. According to some, Stumpp (also known as Abel Griswold) even accepted the dark gift of a succubus from Satan himself. Today, Peter Stumpp is remembered as the Werewolf of Bedburg, with his trial being regarded as one of the most sensational werewolf cases in all history.
