Yorkshire - Dent Village, Dales & Beautiful British Countryside -Relax With Nature

Dent the village with immense natural beauty, stunning scenary and a place to be discovered.

This video shows you all about Dent Village and the spectaculer sceneries around it.The cobbled street starts at 3.10 min. along with colour-washed stone cottages.I found the chirping of Sparrows,Pied Wagtails,Siskins & Bluetits every where.The chiming of the church bell enhanced the natural beauty of the area.
Our cottage was at Dent and it was an immaculately presented spacious property with views across the Dale to Rise Hill.

Dent village was so peaceful and lonely.Not much of crowd was to be seen.The Post Office only opened twice a week.There are only a very few shops to buy food stuff.
We spent our days strolling through beautiful meadows and lush riverside pastures, or exploring the hills and villages in the nearby Dales and Lakes.I always love to be with rich nature and with peace and tranquility that this place offered.I filmed all these sceneries while taking a walk through the Village.I also went to see a few other wonderful places but didn't film it.Just took photographs only :)

The story of Dent and Dentdale
========================
Four miles away from Dent village is Dent station - located within beautiful Dentdale. Dent still retains a feel of the past with its cobbled streets and colour-washed stone cottages. During the 18th and 19th Centuries Dent became a major hand knitting centre producing gloves and hose. The 'terrible' knitters (terribly fast and furious) would sit on balconies overhanging the streets, knitting and talking.

Walking in Dentdale provides the opportunity to see the best of the british countryside, it's wildlife and habitat, and it's changing character throughout the seasons.The Yorkshire Dales and Pennine Cycleways both include Dentdale.

Discover Dentdale and you will find yourself immersed in natural beauty, stunning scenery, a depth of heritage and the culture of a Dales community that has attracted poets, painters, and musicians for many years.

Dent Village Heritage Centre reveals the working lives of the dale's people since 16th Century. Inside, the place was packed with artefacts, reflecting life as it had once been lived in the Dale, collected over thirty or forty years by local farmers and owners.
Adam Sedgwick the father of geology was born in Dent in 1785.
