Sufism is called a Tariqa, and there was a time a thousand years ago when tariqa had its separate identity. However, from around 11th century, when the Shari'a adherents won their war against the rationalist Mutazzalis, and the spiritualist Tahqiqis, Tariqa is firmly subordinated to Shari'a. All assertions to the contrary are not only false, but positively an exercise in deception. The Barelvi clan, which is the umbrella Sufi organisation, is rooted in the Fatwas of its founder Ahmad Raza Barelvi, who regarded anything that pleased the non-believer to be a grave sin, or Kufr. The Indian Sufi is a follower of Mujaddid Alf-e-Sani Sheikh Ahmad Sirhindi Naqshbandi, Aurangzeb and Shah Waliullah, all of whom are top rated bigots.
