When we discovered that BØRNS lived in a shed perched on the top of a tree, in the middle of Los Angeles canyons, we were just half surprised. The 22-year-old artist arrived at Le Bichat, our place of meeting (and our favourite organic restaurant in the 10th arrondissement, Paris!), and spread straight away a peaceful, ethereal atmosphere. Just like the sensitive and emotional songs of his first EP, Candy, leading us to bohemian and imaginary lands.

Yes, Garett Borns wrote and recorded this EP in his high and sunny home in California, surrounded by birds and butterflies: « In these songs, one can literally feel the sun shining and the echoes whispering from the canyons ».

BØRNS is poetic, and one can perfectly see it in this acoustic session.
We had the pleasure to hear him perform ’10,000 Emerald Pools’, a sensual and delicate musical pearl!

Lorsqu’on apprend que BØRNS vit dans une cabane en haut d’un arbre, dans les canyons de Los Angeles, ça ne nous surprend qu’à moitié. Le jeune artiste de 22 ans arrive sur le lieu de rendez-vous, Le Bichat (notre cantine bio chouchou du 10e arrondissement de Paris !), et distille tout de suite quelque chose de paisible, d’aérien. A l’image des titres de son premier EP Candy, emplis de sensibilité et d’émotivité et qui évoquent des images de contrées bohèmes et imaginaires.

Cet EP, Garett Borns de son vrai nom l’a donc écrit et enregistré dans cet endroit reclus et ensoleillé de Californie, entouré d’oiseaux et de papillons : « On peut littéralement ressentir le soleil qui brille et entendre les échos des canyons dans ces chansons ».

BØRNS est poétique, et nous le révèle très bien lors de cette session acoustique. Il nous a fait le plaisir de nous interpréter ‘All I Need Is You (10,000 Emerald Pools)’, un petit joyau sonore à la mélodie flamboyante et doucement sensuelle.
