Alleged White House Correspondents' Dinner gunman makes first court appearance

Authorities are expected to reveal new details Monday on the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where a gunman allegedly targeted President Donald Trump and members of his administration.

Cole Tomas Allen, 31, is accused of opening fire inside the Washington Hilton on Saturday after rushing past a security checkpoint while armed with multiple weapons. He was taken into custody at the scene.

FBI Director Kash Patel, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro held a news conference on the incident. In the conference, they outlined the charges against Allen and detailed the timeline of events that took place Saturday evening.
