Calle Engström was a long-time friend of Sven’s, a colleague-musician that shared stage with Sven on numerous occasions during many many years. Calle also participated at the recording of Sven’s first solo album, Blues from within (1998) – and the album that Sven recorded the following year (1999) but was not released until 2022 as a posthumous album (by the name Rain On) to celebrate Sven’s 70th anniversary.

My Blues Came Back To Me is composed by Calle Engström and recorded by Mönsterås Blues Band. This band has been going on strong since 1974 and is one of the landmarks of the Swedish blues scene.
